Comments:

Welcome back to the Schmolik 64, Michigan State Spartans and Duke Blue Devils! Nobody had a better last seven days than Michigan State. They won three games, including wins over Illinois and Ohio State. They have the lowest NET ranking of any at large team in this field but they have five Quad 1 wins. Duke has moved up to #49 in the NET with two Quad 1 wins including last Saturday over Virginia. They've won four games in a row.

The Michigan Wolverines finally returned to action after a long layoff and showed they are the class of the Big Ten with a win last Sunday at Ohio State and a convincing win over Iowa yesterday. Michigan has one more big game next Tuesday when they host Illinois. They also have two games with Michigan State next week as well. Illinois and Ohio State also play as do Iowa and Ohio State. Plenty of top Big Ten games left. The last Big Ten team to win the NCAA Tournament was Maryland in 2002, the last to win while a member of the Big Ten was Michigan State in 2000. Could this be the year?
