At the bottom of the page, you’ll find a lineup broken down by telecast window with the group designations in bold to the left of the game. Instead of ordering these by tip time, however, I’ve grouped them by importance.
Reminders of the different groupings:
- Group 1 (home games): Visitor is ranked 1-30
- Group 1 (away games): Host is ranked 1-75
- Group 2 (home games): Visitor is ranked 31-75
- Group 2 (away games): Host is ranked 76-135
- Group 3 (home games): Visitor is ranked 76-160
- Group 3 (away games): Host is ranked 136-240
- Group 4 (home games): Visitor is ranked 161-353
- Group 4 (away games): Host is ranked 241-353
All NET numbers are from the NCAA’s website and reflect games played through Monday, Feb. 11. Records reflect games played through Tuesday, Feb. 12. All times are Eastern.
31-75 at Top 75
Group 1 for the visitor only; Group 2 for the host (1/2)
No. 74 Providence Friars (14-10, 4-7) at No. 19 Villanova Wildcats (19-5, 10-1), 6:30 p.m. (FS1)
No. 72 South Florida Bulls (17-6, 7-4) at No. 45 UCF Knights (17-5, 7-3), 7 p.m. (ESPN News)
No. 61 Liberty Flames (21-5, 10-1) at No. 30 Lipscomb Bisons (20-4, 11-0), 7:30 p.m. (ESPN+)
No. 47 Syracuse Orange (17-7, 8-3) at No. 35 N.C. State Wolfpack (17-7, 5-6), 8 p.m. (Raycom (Regional)/TheACC.com/ACC Network Extra)
No. 36 Mississippi Rebels (16-7, 6-4) at No. 20 Auburn Tigers (16-7, 5-5), 8:30 p.m. (SECN)
No. 58 Minnesota Golden Gophers (16-8, 6-7) at No. 40 Nebraska Cornhuskers (13-11, 3-10), 9 p.m. (BTN)
Villanova will look to rebound from Saturday’s narrow loss to Marquette by sweeping Providence. Lipscomb can do the same to Liberty, a result that would all but lock up the top seed in the ASUN Tournament (and the home-floor advantage that comes with it) for the Bisons. Remember that Casey Alexander’s squad ran the Flames out of the Vines Center back on January 29th. As for Minnesota’s trip to Nebraska ... the Gophers’ at-large hopes would take a bit of a hit if they fall to the shorthanded Huskers (who conversely could see their own chances improve if their seven-game skid ends).
I bet you weren’t expecting to see a USF-UCF matchup listed among the games of the night, but here we are. The trip to Orlando is the first of a four-game swing that will determine the Bulls’ postseason fate, as they will host Temple and visit Houston on consecutive Saturdays before welcoming their archrivals to Tampa two weeks from tonight.
But really the two most intriguing games here come out of the ACC and SEC. Syracuse begins the most daunting part of its schedule with a visit to Raleigh, where the Wolfpack will look to pick up a needed decent win before traveling across the Triangle to Duke on Saturday. Meanwhile, on the Plains, the team that ranks as N.C. State’s best win, Auburn, will look to avenge the 82-67 loss Ole Miss handed them in Oxford on January 9th. That’s the result that lifted the Rebels into true at-large contention.
Top 30 at 76-135
Group 2 for the visitor; Group 1 for the host only (2/1)
No. 12 Texas Tech Red Raiders (19-5, 7-4) at No. 77 Oklahoma State Cowboys (9-14, 2-8), 9 p.m. (ESPN2)
The Red Raiders can win their third in a row, as they travel to Stillwater for the first of two meetings with the Cowboys over three consecutive Wednesdays.
31-75 at 76-135
Group 2 for both the host and visitor (2/2)
No. 39 Clemson Tigers (15-8, 5-5) at No. 89 Miami Hurricanes (10-13, 2-9), 7 p.m. (ESPN2)
No. 57 Creighton Bluejays (13-11, 4-7) at No. 106 Xavier Musketeers (11-13, 3-8), 8:30 p.m. (CBSSN)
No. 71 Arizona State Sun Devils (16-7, 7-4) at No. 79 Colorado Buffaloes (14-9, 5-6), 10:30 p.m. (FS1)
A trio of bubble teams hit the road for potentially tricky contests. Clemson could find itself in a battle if Miami plays like it did in Chapel Hill on Saturday, while Bobby Hurley has not yet won in Boulder. The Sun Devils will be going for the season sweep over Colorado, thanks to January 5th’s 22-point home win. The same goes for Creighton, who also recorded a 22-point victory in their home game against Xavier just 10 days ago. While the Bluejays have struggled of late, as that win over the Musketeers is their lone triumph in their last four games, the Musketeers have dropped six straight.
76-160 at Top 75
Group 1 for the visitor only; Group 3 for the host (1/3)
No. 98 South Carolina Gamecocks (12-11, 7-3) at No. 4 Tennessee Volunteers (22-1, 10-0), 6:30 p.m. (SECN)
No. 126 Rutgers Scarlet Knights (11-12, 4-9) at No. 69 Northwestern Wildcats (12-11, 3-9), 7 p.m. (BTN)
No. 110 SMU Mustangs (12-11, 4-7) at No. 55 Temple Owls (17-7, 7-4), 7 p.m. (ESPN3)
No. 117 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (11-13, 3-8) at No. 14 Virginia Tech Hokies (18-5, 7-4), 8 p.m. (Raycom (Regional)/ACC Network Extra)
No. 78 Georgetown Hoyas (15-9, 5-6) at No. 68 Seton Hall Pirates (14-9, 5-6), 8:30 p.m. (FS1)
No. 125 Vanderbilt Commodores (9-14, 0-10) at No. 41 Florida Gators (12-11, 4-6), 9 p.m. (ESPNU)
This selection of games is a true grab bag, with the first Georgetown-Seton Hall matchup the only true bubble contest of the six. Elsewhere, Tennessee will look to avoid a slip-up before Saturday’s trip to Lexington, something Kentucky couldn’t do last night. Temple, Virginia Tech, and Florida, meanwhile, all really need to take care of business at home. The Gators’ home contest against Vandy is particularly dangerous, as they’ve only defeated the Commodores once in seven tries under Mike White. As for Rutgers-Northwestern, it’s presence here is down to the Big Ten’s overall quality in the NET, not because of any NCAA implications.
76-160 at 76-135
Group 2 for the visitor only; Group 3 for the host (2/3)
No. 97 USC Trojans (13-11, 6-5) at No. 107 Stanford Cardinal (12-11, 5-6), 11 p.m. (ESPNU)
No. 150 Boise State Broncos (11-13, 6-5) at No. 76 Fresno State Bulldogs (17-6, 8-3), 10:30 p.m. (CBSSN)
USC and Fresno State barely have a pulse at this point. They’ll flatline with losses tonight.
161-353 at Top 75
Group 1 for the visitor only; Group 4 for the host (1/4)
No. 187 Richmond Spiders (10-14, 4-7) at No. 44 VCU Rams (17-6, 8-2), 7 p.m. (ESPNU)
No. 195 Wake Forest Demon Deacons (9-13, 2-8) at No. 25 Florida State Seminoles (18-5, 6-4), 7 p.m. (ACC RSNs/ACC Network Extra)
No. 310 Wyoming Cowboys (6-17, 2-8) at No. 38 Utah State Aggies (18-6, 8-3), 9 p.m. (MWN)
While the Seminoles would be a virtual lock even with an unlikely home loss to Wake, both VCU and Utah State can’t afford a slip-up at home. The Rams are in for a particular challenge as they face their archrival for the first time this season, while the Aggies—coming off a loss at San Diego State—are looking to sweep a terrible Wyoming squad.
31-75 at 241-353
Group 4 for the visitor; Group 2 for the host only (4/2)
No. 66 Memphis Tigers (14-10, 6-5) at No. 264 East Carolina Pirates (9-14, 2-9), 7 p.m. (ESPN3)
76-160 at 241-353
Group 4 for the visitor; Group 3 for the host only (4/3)
No. 104 UCLA Bruins (12-12, 5-6) at No. 265 California Golden Bears (5-18, 0-11), 10 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks)
At this point, Memphis’s bubble candidacy is far less fringe-y than UCLA’s, but both teams must avoid a road slip up if they don’t want to hear a pop.
