CBS starts Saturday with its now traditional nationally-televised doubleheader, originating from Providence this afternoon. In the opener, Wichita State will attempt to reach its third Sweet Sixteen in four years by shutting down a Hurricane squad that's one of the more efficient on offense nationally. In game two, the Blue Devils and Bulldogs meet in a rematch of November 25th's 80-61 Blue Devil win. However, each team's roster has changed significantly since that evening at Cameron Indoor.

The atmosphere in Des Moines should be electric as the Hoosiers and Wildcats meet for the first time since March 23, 2012, when UK knocked IU out of the NCAAs, avenging the only regular season defeat the eventual national champs suffered that season. The Big Ten regular season champs will have their hands full shutting down the SEC co-champs. But considering how ruthlessly the Hoosiers dispatched of Chattanooga on Thursday evening, this should be a thriller.
Virginia's matchup against Butler might not be, but the Cavaliers' style, which limits possessions by nature, gives the Bulldogs an opening if they can be efficient on offense. However, with the Midwest bracket opened up, UVa won't want to let this opportunity get past them.
Iowa State's matchup with Little Rock looks like a toss-up, and since neither team is great at getting to the foul line, the few additional opportunities either team earns there could make a difference.

The other two top seeds in action tonight have differing challenges in the late window. North Carolina should be in good shape if they limit the effectiveness of the Friars' Kris Dunn and Ben Bentill. Kansas, meanwhile, looks like a clear favorite over UConn, but if the Jayhawks struggle from the perimeter and the Huskies can get themselves to the charity stripe more than usual, the favorite of many might end up heading back to Lawrence for the season.
In Denver, Gonzaga can earn itself an unexpected Sweet 16 trip by toppling Utah. This should be one of the most even games of the day, but if Jakob Poeltl and Kyle Kuzma can get some work done inside against Domantas Sabonis and Kyle Wiltjer, the Utes might be able to get past the Zags.
Viewing Picks
Gonzaga-Utah, approx. 8:40 p.m. (TNT)
UConn-Kansas, approx. 7:45 p.m. (CBS)
Providence-North Carolina, approx. 9:40 p.m. (TBS)
