Top 10 finishing out the calendar year

As we head to close out the 2014 calendar year, and head in conference play coming up in January, here are a few things to think about covering our top 10 in the Nation.

1. Kentucky Kentucky has proven to be the best team in the Nation, winning every game this season by atleast 10 points or more. They UCLA on a neutral court and then December 27th could be the best game all season long as the Wildcats head to Lousiville.

2. Duke remains undefeated having 2 big wins over MSU in Indy and beating Wisconsin in Madison. They do have UConn to finish out the 2014 year.

3. Arizona is coming off two big wins against Gonzaga and UCLA, they still have a matchup playing on the road at UNLV before heading into conference.

4. Lousiville continues their unbeaten year, having won games against Minnesota and OSU. December 27th is the showdown against in state rival Kentucky.

5. Wisconsin comes in with 1 loss this season against number 2 Duke. The badgers do have wins against Georgetown and Oklahoma. Playing at Cal could be a trap game for the Badgers before Big 10 play.

6. Virginia remains undefeated with that stifling defense only allowing 47 a game which is number 1 in the nation. Wins over VCU and Maryland, and still having to play Cleveland State, Davidson and Harvard before the year is over.

7. Villianova still unbeaten with wins over VCU and Michigan. They do have a tough schedule to round out the year, with Syracuse, NJIT, and Butler all at home.

8. Texas lands the 8 spot with 1 loss coming against the number 1 team Kentucky. Texas has shown great strides since last season and a force to be reckon with in the Big 12. They finish the year with some smaller schools and a game against Standford.

9. Gonzaga has only 1 loss this year against number 3 Arizona. They have a great pg and proven coach. big game coming up against BYU.

10. Kansas with only one loss coming to once again the number 1 seed Wildcats. Kansas has bounced well with wins against Georgetown and Utah. Their next big game comes January 4th against UNLV.

Top 10 teams have a combined 4 losses so far this season with all of them coming against the undefeated top 10 teams. This year is going to be a great year of basketball. Get strapped in and enjoy the ride!
