College Basketball On TV For January 30, 2011

I've picked eight games for your viewing pleasure today, anchored by a visit by Duke to their second home, a pair of key games for ACC bubble teams, and the first of the season's two Apple Cup games. Since the schedule today isn't terribly overwhelming, I didn't bother to break these contests down by their hypothetical screen in my home setup. More after the jump.

Duke Blue Devils at St. John's Red Storm, CBS (1 p.m. ET)
The Red Storm are on a three-game skid at the moment, while Duke has won four straight. Even though Steve Lavin's team could really use this won, don't count on it. Plus, the Johnnies visit UCLA next Saturday in what looks to be a significant bubble game.
KenPom.com prediction: Blue Devils 77-67, 71 poss.

Providence Friars at Seton Hall Pirates, Big East Network/MSG/BHSN/CST/ESPN3/Full Court (2 p.m. ET)
These two picked up big upset wins at midweek, but for one of them, their momentum will have to end in Newark.
KenPom.com prediction: Pirates 77-72, 76 poss.

Wright St. Raiders at Milwaukee Panthers, TWC 32/Horizon League Network (2 p.m. ET)
The Raiders look to stay a game behind Horizon co-leaders Cleveland State and Valparaiso.
KenPom.com prediction: Raiders 63-62, 62 poss.

Miami Hurricanes at Virginia Tech Hokies, FSN (5:30 p.m. ET)
The Hurricanes have won only once in the ACC, so they'll need to change that fact quickly if they hope to say under consideration. Meanwhile, the Hokies will look to rebound at home from a bad road loss at Georgia Tech on Tuesday night. It will be interesting to see if the Canes' high-powered offense can cope with Tech's lockdown defense.
KenPom.com prediction: Hokies 71-62, 64 poss.

Indiana Hoosiers at Michigan St. Spartans, Big Ten Network (6 p.m. ET)
These two teams really do look like they're headed in opposite directions right now. The Hoosiers will look to pick up a second straight upset win, after they stunned Illinois in Bloomington on Thursday, while Sparty needs to pick itself off the mat after losing to Michigan at home for the first time since 1997. A defeat here would see Tom Izzo's team fall under .500 in the Big Ten.
KenPom.com prediction: Spartans 73-65, 67 poss.

Maryland Terrapins at Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, FSN (7:45 p.m. ET)
The Terrapins hope their visit to Atlanta goes a little more smoothly than UNC's or Virginia Tech's. A loss against the Jackets' could really torch an already flimsy resume.
KenPom.com prediction: Terps 71-66, 74 poss.

Northern Iowa Panthers at Missouri St Bears, ESPNU (8 p.m. ET)
The Bears currently lead Wichita State by a single game in the loss column, but look at who's just behind the lead pair. Yep, it's UNI, who visits Springfield tonight as the owners of a six-game win streak, which includes a victory at Wichita.
KenPom.com prediction: Bears 65-59, 56 poss.

Washington Huskies at Washington St. Cougars, FSN (10 p.m. ET)
With lots of other bubble teams falling this week, the Cougars could really use a win over the Huskies to bolster their position. On the other hand, the Huskies need this win for seeding purposes.
KenPom.com prediction: Huskies 79-75, 75 poss.

For broadcast information for the rest of the Sunday schedule, including a pair of games from the typically messy MAC, visit Matt Sarz's College Sports on TV site. Another good resource is the schedule page at BB State.

Please share your thoughts about today and tonight's action in the comments, after you sign up for a free SB Nation account, of course.
