East And West Regional Final Open Thread

Half of the Final Four will be set tonight, as the East and West Regional Finals happen this evening in Syracuse and Salt Lake City.

The West game is up first, as fifth-seeded Butler looks to get to their first ever Final Four, as the host school. They'll have to get past No. 2 Kansas State. The Wildcats haven't been to the National Semifinals since 1964, when Tex Winter was the coach. It will be a fairly even matchup between two teams who play tough defense. I think the Bulldogs do something Gonzaga has never been able to do, get past this hurdle and reach the promised land.

The East final is the only matchup this weekend that features the top two seeds in the region, as top-seeded Kentucky takes on No. 2 West Virginia. This should be another good one, with the Wildcats prevailing because of a bit more offense.

Head over to SB Nation for more. I didn't put up a preview today, as I had some car issues come up which kept me occupied for much of the day. I will have one for tomorrow's games, however. Jon Bois and Adam Jacobi have things under control over at the mothership in the meantime.

Thanks to a partnership SB Nation has with CBS and NCAA® March Madness on Demand®, we've made it easy for you to watch NCAA® Men's Basketball Championship games live online for free!  That includes games that are national telecasts, like today's two games. If you're stuck somewhere with no TV, but internet access, you're in luck!

I will be tweeting @BracketDobber, though I'll probably be hitting on some hockey action too (as there will be a couple of regional finals tonight and the Midwest regional semis in Fort Wayne).

Enjoy the games!
