Welcome to Christmas week. It's starts a lot like exam week, picks up on Wednesday and Thursday, and winds down to tournament-only action on Friday and Saturday.
Don't ask about Sunday.
Here are your three national options for the day and evening.
Jacksonville at Florida, Sun Sports/ESPN3 (1 p.m. ET): The Gators will look to avoid a letdown, a little less than 43 hours after they took down Kansas State in South Florida.
Coppin State at Connecticut, ESPNU (7 p.m. ET): Kemba Walker and the Huskies host Fang Mitchell's Eagles, who are embarking on a four-game Big Six road trip. Oddly enough for Coppin, this is the second season in a row where they've already played a reasonable number of early home games (four this season and five in 2009-10).
Morgan State at Syracuse, Big East Network/TWCS/SNY/ESPN3/Full Court (7 p.m. ET): This is the second of three in the span of five days for the Orange, who defeated Iona by six on Saturday. At just 4-4, the Bears are a minor disappointment (considering they lost to North Florida in the mid-major final at the Thanksgiving Cancun event), but they have won two in a row. However, Syracuse will be a stiffer challenge than either Coppin or UMBC.
For information about games that will be aired regionally, like the Holiday Festival semifinals (Northwestern vs. St. Francis (NY) and Davidson vs. St. John's), Winthrop at Dayton, Elon at Duke, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at Memphis, visit Matt Sarz's College Sports on TV site. Another good resource is the schedule page at BB State.
Please share your thoughts about today and tonight's action in the comments, after you sign up for a free SB Nation account, of course.
