Doubling Up the Projections and Weekend TV Rundown - 6 February

As promised, here is the first post-weekday bracket of the season (seed list, trends).

Oklahoma moves up to the 1 line, replacing Duke after their 27-point loss to new 2 seed Clemson on Wednesday night. UConn remains number one overall. UNC and Pitt join the Huskies and Sooners on the top line.

Joining the Tigers and Blue Devils on line two are Louisville and Marquette. The Golden Eagles remain here even though they lost to USF earlier this evening.

Wake Forest slips down to the 3 line after their 27-point loss to bracket newcomer Miami. The rest of the third line (Memphis, Michigan State, and Xavier) is the same as it was on Sunday.

Kansas replaces Texas as a 4 seed. Butler, Purdue, and UCLA are holdovers.

There are quite a few changes on lines 5 through 12. Penn State drops out, as they, like Northwestern before them, couldn't build on their Breslin Center win against newcomer Michigan. Miami (FL) replaces Virginia Tech, as the luster of the Hokies' win over Wake Forest is off, thanks to the Blacksburg school's recent struggles. Baylor falls out after they suffered their fourth straight loss.

Six teams were switched around to meet bracketing principles, Florida State and South Carolina on lines 9 and 10 and Michigan and Miami (FL) and Siena and Georgetown on lines 11 and 12.

I will be in Philadelphia tomorrow for both Syracuse at Villanova (ESPN, 12 EST) and Cornell at Penn (no TV, 7 EST). I'll probably be able to catch some games in between. For those of you at home this weekend, here are my TV picks for the two days. There are a lot of top vs. bottom matchups in power conferences on Saturday, so I'm only listing those judiciously. All TV info is from Matt's College Sports on TV site.
