The Wheel O' Conference Realignment has taken yet another turn. The Terriers leave the America East, where it was a charter member. I'm updating this as quickly as I can based on new information. Today, I've moved Charlotte, UTSA, Louisiana Tech, North Texas, and FIU to Conference USA, reducing their soon-to-be former conferences in kind. As for Old Dominion ... well, that's a different story entirely. The Monarchs have yet to commit. When they do, I'll move them, and wait for the next set of dominoes to fall.

With 8 football members, adding a 9th would finally mean the Big East would have 8 conference games, evenly split home and away. With 16 basketball members, however, further growth would seem impossible. John Templon over at Chicago College Basketball writes that DePaul is the team getting the most attention on message boards as a possible target for getting "Templed" from the league.
