Gopher Hoops to Play in the Old Spice Classic in Orlando

The Gophers played in the Old Spice Classic in 2006, you may remember that is where they went 0-3 losing to Marist, Southern Illinois and Montana. Dan Monson was allowed to coach one more game as the Gopher's head coach. He lost to Clemson in the Big 10 / ACC Challenge and was then relieved of his duties. Good times and good memories! For those of you who enjoy traveling to watch your favorite NCAA Basketball team, book your flights and hotels for Nov 24, 25 and 27th in sunny Orlando, Florida! This year's field is pretty weak overall. Minnesota (Big10) Arizona St (Pac10) Texas Tech (Big12) Wake Forest (ACC) DePaul (BigEast) Dayton (A10) Indiana St (MVC) Fairfield (MAAC) We have most of the big conferences represented but none of the BCS schools in this field finished higher than 9th in their conference this past season. Some may be much improved but there are no teams that stand out in this field that is very winable.
