@fetch9 came up with this for Rock Chalk Talk. A highly recommended read and out of the box idea, which SI's Andy Glockner and the NCAA's own Bylaw Blog guru, John Infante, kicked around on Twitter. Who says Twitter is a bad thing?
I completely reformatted the page and added information about several events, including full schedules (at least for games that have been announced) for the various round-robin and on-campus tournaments set for around the country. Note: I updated the page with a new URL on Sept. 9.

This is a link to a story at The UConn Blog with more info from a Husky perspective. From an NCAA perspective, check out this Andy Katz piece at ESPN.com. The main item Greg Shaheen and the people in Indianapolis need to figure are whether Hathaway can stay on even if he's not employed by a member institution. If not, who will replace him as chair (Xavier AD Mike Bobinski is in line for next season) and on the committee itself. Katz helpfully points out that any replacement will have to come from a FBS league to preserve balance on the committee.
I've also added the full schedules for the final rounds for the four Basketball Tournaments, Inc. events in Chicago, South Padre, and Las Vegas. Note: I updated the page with a new URL on 9/9.
Per that newspaper's Teddy Greenstein, the Wildcats would be the eighth and final team in the field, joining Georgia Tech, LSU, St. Joseph;s, Seton Hall, Tulsa, 2011 Final Four participant VCU, and Western Kentucky. Curiously, Northwestern is already scheduled to play at Georgia Tech as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. HT: Patrick Marshall of White and Blue Review.
This moves makes sense geographically for the Bruins, as the bulk of the Ohio Valley's membership is within a bus trip (and the league offices are just outside of Nashville.
The addition of Belmont, who has qualified for the NCAAs in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2011, makes the OVC an even tougher loop. Murray State won a First Round game in 2010 and Morehead State has a 2009 Opening Round victory and 2011 First Second Round triumph. The Bruins, meanwhile, have come close themselves and are poised to finally breakthrough in 2011-12.
As for the Atlantic Sun, that conference could be in the market for new members, since Campbell is already headed for the Big South in time for the 2011-12 campaign.
Talking bracketology, with a likely SEC flavor, on Richard Cross' show out of Oxford, Mississippi.
It's time for my annual bracketology chat with Joel and Will.
Both BYU and San Diego State are on the two line now, while Syracuse and Villanova drop down to three seeds. Of course, those four teams are locks. Michigan State fell out of lock status after last night's loss to Michigan.
