CBE Classic Finals
Championship: Wichita State Shockers (6-0) vs. BYU Cougars (5-1), approx. 10 p.m. ET (ESPN2)
Consolation: Texas Longhorns (4-1) vs. DePaul Blue Demons (3-2), 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPNU)
The Shockers, who got the great start they'd been looking for against DePaul on Monday night, will face their toughest test of the season against the Cougars tonight. BYU may be in a bit of trouble, however, as they struggled against Texas' physicality in the semifinals. If the Cougars think the 'Horns were tough, wait until they encounter tonight's opposition.
Legends Classic Finals
Championship: Pittsburgh Panthers (5-0) vs. Stanford Cardinal (5-1), approx. 9:30 p.m. ET (ESPNU)
Consolation: Texas Tech Red Raiders (4-2) vs. Houston Cougars (5-1), 7 p.m. ET (ESPN3)
On Monday, Pitt wasn't tested by Texas Tech at all, while Stanford overcame a slow start to hand Houston its first loss of 2013-14. The Cardinal, who have failed to score 70 just once this season (at Denver), face perhaps its sternest defensive test of the young season, while the Panthers face the same challenge on the other end of the floor.
Maui Invitational Semifinals
California Golden Bears (5-0) vs. Syracuse Orange (5-0), 7 p.m. ET (ESPN)
Baylor Bears (5-0) vs. Dayton Flyers (5-0), approx. 9:30 p.m. ET (ESPN)
This evening's first game is a rematch of a fairly tight 2013 NCAA Tournament Round of 32 matchup, which the Orange won in the Golden Bears' backyard. As for the nightcap, the Bears need to watch out for a Flyer team that came from nine down at halftime to stun Gonzaga. Dayton has three victories against teams ranked in the top 12 in seven all-time games in Lahaina. They won't be afraid of the squad ranked 18th.
Maui Invitational Consolation
Arkansas Razorbacks (3-1) vs. Minnesota Golden Gophers (5-1), 2 p.m. ET (ESPN2)
Gonzaga Bulldogs (4-1) vs. Chaminade Silverswords (2-1), approx. 4:30 p.m. ET (ESPN2)
Pity the Silverswords with the challenge they face this afternoon ... unless Christophe Varidel can exceed his scoring total from last night.
Cancun Challenge Semifinals
Mayan Division
Bowling Green Falcons (1-3) vs. Presbyterian Blue Hose (1-5), 12:30 p.m. ET (CBSSports.com ULive ($))
Oral Roberts Golden Eagles (2-3) vs. Georgia Southern Eagles (2-3), approx. 3 p.m. ET (CBSSports.com ULive ($))
The Golden Eagles are the heavy favorite to claim the visiting team title in Cancun.
Riviera Division
West Virginia Mountaineers (4-1) vs. Old Dominion Monarchs (4-1), 6 p.m. ET (CBS SN)
Saint Louis Billikens (5-0) vs. Wisconsin Badgers (6-0), approx. 8:30 p.m. ET (CBS SN)
Based on early results, it's too bad that the Billikens and Badgers are playing tonight instead of tomorrow. Wisconsin has the two best wins for this entire quartet by far, as it toppled St. John's in Sioux Falls on opening night and Florida at the Kohl Center on the following Tuesday.
Gulf Coast Showcase Semifinals
Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (3-1) vs. UIC Flames (2-3), 6 p.m. ET (AmericaOne ($))
Wagner Seahawks (4-2) vs. St. Bonaventure Bonnies (4-1), approx. 8:30 p.m. ET (AmericaOne ($))
The Bulldogs, forecast to be near the top of the race in the revamped C-USA, is the heavy favorite to win the crown in Estero, Fla., particularly now that UIC knocked off San Diego yesterday.
Gulf Coast Showcase Consolation
UNC Greensboro Spartans (3-2) vs. San Diego Toreros (5-1), 12 p.m. ET (AmericaOne ($))
Stetson Hatters (0-6) vs. Southern Illinois Salukis (1-4), approx. 2:30 p.m. ET (AmericaOne ($))
Non-Tournament Games Of Note
Florida Gulf Coast Eagles (4-1) at N.C. State Wolfpack (2-2), 7 p.m. (ESPN3)
The Wolfpack have had nearly a week to stew over Wednesday's home loss to neighors N.C. Central, but last season's NCAA darlings aren't exactly the team you want to see when looking for a rebound win.
Illinois Fighting Illini (5-0) at UNLV Runnin' Rebels (2-2), 10:45 p.m. (CBS SN)
For their first road trip of the season, the Illini head to the desert to take on team that should really be called the Strugglin' Rebels at the moment. Illinois' smallest margin of victory so far this season is 12, which came against Valparaiso Crusaders on the 13th. UNLV is a week removed from a six-point loss at the hands of what appears to be a very good Arizona State squad. The Rebels would like to show that November 12th's 21-point home defeat at the hands of UC Santa Barbara was just an aberration.
