NCAA Tournament Second Round Sunday Open Thread: The Best Weekend Of The Year Ends
The first weekend of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship, or as I'm now calling it, the Ali Farokhmanesh Invitational, wraps up this afternoon and evening with the last eight Second Round games.
Today, lower seeds like Georgia Tech, Missouri and Cornell will all look to join St. Mary's and Washington in the Regionals, while Gonzaga and Cal will attempt to join Northern Iowa in knocking off top seeds.
It's hard to believe that at around 7:30 p.m. ET, we'll be down to just 16.
Thanks to a partnership SB Nation has with CBS and NCAA® March Madness on Demand®, we've made it easy for you to watch NCAA® Men's Basketball Championship games live online for free!

I again have a Sunday schedule and viewer's guide up at SB Nation.
Enjoy the games!

if xavier holds on that will be 6 big east teams out.
cornell, st mary’s northern iowa, butler and maybe xavier could be in sweet sixteen. 5 teams from conferences that are not part of the big six.
I'm all about covering the spread and moneylines. I was building a house, I don't deserve this, deserves have nothing to do with it. Bang. "Unforgiven" I drink your milkshake. I drink it up! "There Will BE Blood"

not that unusual to lose 6 of 8, but....
they almost all lost to lower seeds—-including 14, 6, 11, 11, 10. The one lower seed that lost was in an 8/9 game. One could argue if it weren’t for the high seeds they got, it could have been even worse for the Big East. I think you have to conclude that the Big East was a bit over-rated this year—although, I’ll admit Syracuse has looked good.
