Around SBN: College Football Preseason Top 25 Rankings

National Championship Open Thread and We Have an SBN Bracket Bonanza Winner

It all comes down to tonight for Michigan State and North Carolina.  The Spartans will try to avenge a 35-point defeat back on December 3, when they were experiencing injury and fatigue issues.  The Tar Heels will try to win for the second time on the Ford Field court this season, but this time the crowd will be quite a bit larger than the one that witnessed the early season matchup.

Since no one picked Michigan State in the SBN Bracket Bonanza, our top three finishers are set.  The top three in the standings all picked UNC tonight.

  1. Five For Howling (Phoenix Coyotes) - 121 points, 153 possible
  2. Clone Chronicles (Iowa State Cyclones) - 114 points, 146 possible
  3. California Golden Blogs (Cal Bears) - 108 points, 140 possible

Congratulations!  You now own bragging rights over the rest of us SBN bloggers until next year.

Join me back here for the Championship Game at 9 EDT.  However, I may be a bit preoccupied early on, as it's opening night for the Cubs.

Awesome.

Hockey blogs in first (Five for Howling), fourth (Hockey Wlderness), and tied for fifth (me, Silver Seven).

Is it cheating if you just pick all the favourites, though?

Unfortunately...

…since I joined the group so late, there wasn’t much time to get anything together. You should really put a widget up on your site to memorialize your triumph!

If Roy Williams had said...

“I don’t give a **** about Carolina,” I would have died.
