Final Four Open Thread

The time has come for the National Semifinals.  The evening starts with UConn, looking for their third title in ten years, taking on Michigan State, who is the first team to play in a Final Four in their home state since Duke in 1994.  The nightcap features Villanova, the first three seed to make the Final Four since eventual winners Florida in 2006, taking on North Carolina, a team searching for their second title of the millennium.  Join me here at around 6 EDT, to talk about all of the action.

In terms of picks, since I've pretty much given up on them for this year, I'm just going to go with the underdogs tonight, Michigan State and Villanova.

I don't understand...

…why CBS put this first.

Of course, I’m still trying to figure out why CBS put the Vandy-GW game in the 5 Eastern slot in round 1 in 2007, instead of Wazzu-ORU.

If the remaining three halves tonight...

…are as entertaining as this first half, it will be the Final Four this tournament desperately needs.

Not so fast...

…it’s definitely still a ball game with 1:25 left.

The CBS stats crew is moronic...

…there was no true Final Four in 1939. Only the East and West regional winners made it to Evanston. Nova tied with Oklahoma for 3rd.
