USC's Tourney Hopes?

I was wondering whether USC had much of a chance to earn an NCAA tournament birth this season. They're 6th in the Pac-10 and I heard 6 teams from the Pac-10 had a chance to get in this year. At 18-12 (9-9), they're just two victories shy of the all-important 20 win mark. Are they on the bubble at all? Haven't heard much talk about the Trojans. What's the scoop?

They should be...

…but the biggest thing that gets them is the lack of out-of-league wins. 3-10 road/neutral record doesn’t help either.

As much as I would love to see it happen, I seriously doubt it unless they make some serious noise in the Pac-10 tourney.

I doubt they make it unless they win the Pac-10 tourney, a losing record inthe Pac-10 is not good.

Just found this site

And I’m really loving it so far. I can’t wait to start contributing throughout the best time of the year, a.k.a. March Madness.

Anyways, as to USC, saying this is as unbiased as I can, they pretty much have to win the conference tourney to get in. Their best non-conference win was against… Georgia Tech? With nothing in the non-conference and 9-9 in the Pac-10 (with only three good wins against Arizona State, California, and Arizona, all in January), 2-8 on the road, 3-6 in last 9 games, and some ugly losses against Seton Hall, Oregon State, and Stanford, they need to be really, really impressive in the tourney and lose on a buzzer-beater in the final just to give them a pulse.
