UF and UCF Pictures and a Thirsty Thursday Viewing Guide - 5 February

I had a wonderful time the past two evenings taking in games at the O'Connell Center in Gainesville and the new UCF Arena in beautiful suburban Orlando.

In Gainesville, weve been pretty good at this basketball thing lately."]In Gainesville, weve been pretty good at this basketball thing lately. Here is the photo album of my trip. Be warned, I have a lot of campus shots at the start. There were a lot of changes to UF since my last visit.

I'm flying back to DC tomorrow morning. Again, I will post my next bracket either tomorrow evening or early Saturday morning before I head up to Philadelphia. Since I will be traveling both tomorrow and Saturday, I'll again just post a rundown of weekend TV action right about the same time the bracket goes up. I'll go back to providing a full TV preview on Monday.

In tonight's action...

Vanderbilt @ Alabama (ESPN, 7 EST) - Two SEC teams on the edge of the bubble square off in Tuscaloosa.

Temple @ Xavier (ESPN2, 7 EST) - This is a big one for the Owls' A-10 title chances and at-large hopes. Musketeers are in good position for a protected seed at the moment.

Georgia Tech @ Florida State (ESPNU, 7 EST) - A game the Seminoles can't afford to drop at home.

Penn State @ Michigan (Big Ten, 7 EST) - Northwestern couldn't follow up a win at Breslin with a win at Crisler. Penn State looks to do better than the Wildcats. A win would certainly help the Wolverines' case for inclusion.

Butler @ Detroit (FS Detroit/FCS Atlantic, 8 EST) - Bulldogs look to rebound after their first Horizon League loss of the season.

Arizona @ Oregon State (FSN Regional/Selected Comcast Sportsnet channels, 8:30 EST) - Wildcats look to keep up their winning ways, but the improved Beavers will be tough to beat at Gill Coliseum.

Illinois @ Wisconsin (ESPN, 9 EST) - Badgers' losing streak is at 6.

UT-Martin @ Austin Peay (ESPNU, 9 EST) - The Skyhawks and Govs are both a game behind Morehead State in the loss column in the OVC.

New Mexico State @ Utah State (Full Court, 9 EST) - The Las Cruces Aggies are the latest obstacle to the Logan Aggies' quest to make it through the WAC unscathed.

Arizona State @ Oregon (FSN Regional/Selected Comcast Sportsnet channels, 10:30 EST) - Eugene seems like a good place to stop a skid this season.

Washington @ California (FS Northwest/FCS Central, 10:30 EST) - Golden Bears are looking to rebound after an LA sweep, while the Huskies are trying to keep pace with UCLA at the top of the league.

Gonzaga @ Portland (ESPN2, 11 EST) - The Pilots have a chance to steal a share of first place from the Bulldogs. Zags need to be sure they aren't looking ahead to Memphis on Saturday night.

If you have Comcast Sportsnet California, you can see St. Mary's host San Francisco at 8:30 PST. The Gaels need to show they can win without Paddy Mills. The Dons are 1-6 in the WCC, so they should be able to pull out a win tonight.
